Ok so last night on RAW, for those that didn't see, a video was played twice that hyped up a new or returning superstar. It featured a "Crow-like" rain scene and a man wearing a black trench coat. Rumors immediately began swirling that this was to hype up the debut of Sting.
Now today, there are rumors going around that Sting has signed a 1 year contract with WWE.
I myself would totally love this as I am a big Sting fan. I admit that I didn't see his last TNA performances so maybe this signing won't be all it's cracked up to be, but if it does take place I for one am pretty excited. Just sayin'.

I don't care what shape he is in... it is the ONLY man in modern wrestling history to be legend to have NEVER wrestled for the WWE. It IS a huge deal if he signed with WWE and really, at this point, this will give us a years worth of fresh feuds. Sting Vs. Taker, Sting Vs. Cena, Sting Vs. Triple H, Sting Vs. Randy Orton, Sting Vs. The Miz, Sting Vs. CM Punk... and the list goes on. Maybe at next WM, they could even get Michaels out of retirement and we could get the Showstopper Vs. The Icon. And hey, if he comes back Sting Vs. Jericho. The possibilities are endless.
Nothing but good things if this is true

Indeed. Also, HBK said the only way he would have one more match is if it was against Sting...so there you go.

Man, that would be the single GREATEST match ever given that Borden is a GREAT performer and Shawn Michaels is the greatest wrestler of all time. I don't care what anyone says, Flair, Hogan (ugh), Stone Cold, Rock... are only secondary to what Michaels can do in ring.

FYI, that sure looks like Sting's coat to me. Could be a Taker return video I guess, but it doesn't have the usual Taker vibe.

Man, that would be the single GREATEST match ever I can think of at least one (basically never going to happen) match that could be better. Mike Quackenbush V. CM Punk V. 'AmDrag' Daniel Bryan Danielson V. Claudio Castagnoli V. Low Ki V. Samoa Joe EDIT: Oh, and throw in Moxley as well.

Greatest singles match ever?

Samoa Joe V. CM Punk, any of the matches in their RoH best of three series > anything WWE can, has, or will ever produce.
EDIT: Plus Michaels and Borden are FAR past their prime. If they were both at their best? Fuck yeah, that would be awesome. But now it'd be like watching Hogan face another, older Hogan.

The last comment I cannot agree with. Borden maybe but not Michaels. Hickenbottom was better when he returned from the back injury than when he was in his prime. Hell, Shawn Vs. Vince was the prime exactly that HBK could put on a five star classic all by himself. Just because someone is old, doesn't mean they can't go anywhere. USUALLY that is the case, but Michaels definitely still had it when he retired. He could at the very least carry Sting to the greatest Wrestlemania (that will be my compromise) match of all time.

I was under the impression that Sting could still go, but as I said I didn't watch his last stint in TNA so I'm not the best one to get opinions from.

He is still good... not as good as he used to be but he can still go. He nor Michaels should never be compared to Hogan at all. Hogan was a shitty wrestler when he was in his prime.
